“we just wanted to say a huge thank you to you and the whole team at Gayle Mill for our "weekend of a lifetime" Despite the rain, we were warm and cosy at the Mill and everyone made us feel so welcome. At first, I was very nervous of the machinery, but soon found that the tutors were always one step ahead and very aware of the potential dangers. We're still amazed that you would allow us to operate your machinery, even under supervision. I've never used hand tools such as chisels and planes before, so to come away with 3 beautiful and practical wooden items was quite a thrill.”

I had not just an enjoyable weekend, but I also got a taste of how the mill ran when it was working all those years ago. All three of the products that I made over the weekend, I both enjoyed making and am very happy with (I have used the roiling pin I made and can confirm that well.. it works!) . The weekend really is a once in a life time experience that ! would highly recommend to anyone”
