Gayle Mill has an open and airy space ideal for all these purposes and more. The upper floor of the Mill, which was once used for the cleaning and carding of the raw cotton, flax or wool before they spinning into yarn, has windows that were designed to let in the maximum amount of light enabling workers to see clearly what they were doing and to make the best use of the daylight hours. Besides commanding some of the best views of the Wensleydale landscape, the upper floor enjoys a peaceful atmosphere rarely found in the urban environment. Yet it offers the facilities needed for training and meetings including wireless internet connection and projection equipment.
Tea, coffee and non-alcoholic cold drinks are included in the hire costs, and we can organise cold buffet lunches to your requirements. There is a competitive scale of charges (half or full days) depending on whether your organisation is from the private, public or voluntary sector.
