Gayle Mill Trust continue to offer workshops using our expert tutors and craftspeople who share their immense knowledge and skills with all who attend these courses.  

Below are some of our current workshops which are a fantastic way to learn new heritage skills or to develop your knowledge further.  





Wood turning
 
 

Hands-on Heritage Introduction to Wood Turning

Saturday 25th April 2020  10:00am – 4:30pm.

Every one attending this course works with their own forge and has an opportunity to learn how to spread, bend, taper, split, hot punch, and thicken steel in a full day’s workshop which will include all materials, a much-needed hearty lunch.  Take home your own hand-crafted items and if this has whet your appetite come back in September for our Further Blacksmithing Course. 

This course is delivered at our new Woodcraft Studio at Raygill House Farm, near Hawes. DL8 3PP  

All tuition and lunch included. Minimum age 16
