Gayle Mill on TV

Gayle Mill was a finalist on the BBC's Restoration TV series back in 2004.

BBC's "Wensleydale water-powered sawmill still cutting it" was first broadcast on Look North in July 2011 and showed many aspects of the Mill and its water powered woodworking machinery which is still in use today.

Back in 2012, Gayle Mill featured in Channel 4's "How Britain Worked" in which Guy Martin celebrated the workers of the Industrial Revolution.

BBC's "Restoring England's Heritage" was first shown back in December 2013. Nearly 10 years after Gayle Mill was a finalist in BBC's 2004 series of Restoration, presenter Chris Jackson went to see how the mill's transformation from wreck to restored mill and museum has been achieved.

BBC's "Escape to the Country" was broadcast on 10th January 2013 on BBC 2 and featured Gayle Mill and Tony Routh showing a couple, wanting to retire to our beautiful Yorkshire Dales, how to make a Gayle Mill Boot Jack.
